Your Opinion: Infuriated by administration's response

Dear Editor:

This letter cannot properly convey the quiet rage I feel about the involvement of the Obama administration on, and subsequent response to, the IRS and AP affairs.

I can only shake my head in disbelief at the aloof, tone-deaf arrogance of both our president and the attorney general of the United States. Mr. Holder's recent performance at a congressional hearing was embarrassing to watch. His claim to have recused himself on a date unknown and unsubstantiated screams out for nothing less than a vigorous, bi-partisan effort to shine a bright, white-hot light on all the bugs scampering for cover.

The president's decision to appoint Mr. Holder to investigate his own department smells to high heaven and lends credence to the argument of his critics that he's more involved in the polishing of his speeches than in taking charge and protecting the usage and proficiency of the presidency.

I understand any and all snickers when conceding that I voted for Obama. I only hope that my claim to being an independent is considered. I believe our ranks are growing as is our desire for true statesmen and women who put our country ahead of political expediency. Are you truly oblivious to the fact that some of us see through the oily film dripping off the posturing.
