Salute to America seeking vendors, exhibits

Salute to America, the July 4 downtown celebration, is now registering participants for the event.

As part of the green initiative, all registration processes will be completed online. For a link to all application and registration forms, go to www.salutetoamerica.org.

Applications for vendor space are now available for the Coca-Cola Food Court, Westside/Eastside Association's Avenue of the Americas and the St. Mary's Health Center Kid's Zone.

Free exhibit space is available for the Heritage Village, Jefferson Bank Heroes, the Joe Machens Extreme Sports Exhibitions and the Jefferson City Convention and Visitor's Bureau Discover Jefferson City. Individuals can sign up to display their classic cars at the Carroll Rehma Motors Route 66/Classic Car Show (for autos 25 years or older).

The new Show-Me Missouri is seeking exhibits that include: tractors, lawn equipment, antiques, folk art, pictorial histories, Missouri River life, farming displays, rural life, 4-H, Scouting, agricultural displays, boats of all types, costumes, taxidermy displays, geodes and mineralogical examples, Native American art and artifacts, amateur and professional sports teams, railroad memorabilia, DNR exhibits, colleges and universities, chainsaw carving and anything exemplifying the unique and wonderful things that make Missourians proud.

Registration is available online as well for CenturyLink 10th Anniversary 2013 Parade and the River Region Credit Union Little Mr. and Miss Contest for children 4-6 years old and the J. Pfenney's hot dog eating contest.
