BizBeat: Chick-fil-A, where are you?

It is the end of July, and still no outward signs of Chick-fil-A popping up in the Capital City. Don't fret, "chikin" lovers. As far as we know, the popular fast-food chain is still planning to open a new location.

As previously reported, Chick-fil-A tentatively scheduled construction for late summer. Various city officials have been in contact with Chick-fil-A's consultants and are involved in the upcoming project.

In December, the restaurant was approved to develop property owned by Lowe's Home Centers on Missouri Boulevard near Wildwood Drive. The restaurant is to be housed in a 4,900 square-foot building with 50 parking spaces and a double drive-thru.

So stay tuned for more information as we, and cows everywhere, keep a watchful eye on the acre lot planned for development.
