Philadelphia thieves steal Bentley, Lamborghini

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Thieves broke into an apartment, stole the keys to a Bentley and a yellow Lamborghini with a Batman sticker and sped off in the vehicles, which were later recovered, police said.

The burglars entered the apartment in the city's East Falls neighborhood through a second-floor window early Tuesday, police said, and took the car keys, along with about $2,500 and two flat-screen televisions.

One of the vehicles, a 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo with a Batman sticker on the back window, was recovered about two miles away at around 6:30 a.m., police said. The other, a 2006 black Continental Flying Sport Bentley, was found around 9:30 a.m., less than a mile away. No one was in either car and police did not immediately have any suspects.

The victim told police the cars were worth more than $200,000 and that another car had been broken into earlier, but nothing was stolen. Investigators were planning to review surveillance video from the parking garage at the apartment complex.

"It appears that this particular owner has been targeted or somebody has been keeping an eye on him, due to the fact that these cars are so unique, easily identifiable and so high-end," Chief Inspector Scott Small told WPVI-TV
