SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Lindsay Whalen had 21 points and seven assists and the Minnesota Lynx rolled by the San Antonio Silver Stars 87-71 on Friday night, their fifth straight victory.
Maya Moore had 14 points, Devereaux Peters added 13 points, and Janel McCarville scored 10 points for Minnesota, which has won seven of eight.
Shenise Johnson, Danielle Adams and Jia Perkins each had 13 points for San Antonio. It was the fifth loss by 20-plus points this season for the Silver Stars, who have dropped four straight.
Fever 77, Mystics 70
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Shavonte Zellous had 16 points to lead the Fever. Briann January had 12 points and Erlana Larkins had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Fever (6-8), who have won five of the last six games.
Ivory Latta had 16 points and Matee Ajavon and Kia Vaughn each had 10 points for the Mystics (8-8), who lost for the first time in three games.
The Fever went on a 8-O run late in the game and went ahead when Larkins made two free throws with 3:03 to play for a 68-66 lead. The Mystics tied the game again before January hit a 3-pointer. Indiana never looked back.
Shock 64, Sun 58
TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Liz Cambage and Glory Johnson combined for 34 rebounds and 27 points. Johnson had 14 points and 17 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season. Cambage added 13 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for her second double-double of the year.
With Johnson and Cambage leading the way, Tulsa held a 62-39 advantage on the boards.
Riquna Williams and Candice Wiggins added 10 points each for Tulsa (5-13).
Allison Hightower paced Connecticut (4-10) with 14 points. Tina Charles managed just seven points, but grabbed 12 rebounds. Kelsey Griffin contributed 10 points for the Sun.
