Jarrett to leave Mo. utility regulatory commission

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - A member of Missouri's utility regulatory commission says he will not seek reappointment.

Terry Jarrett has served on the Missouri Public Service Commission since being appointed by former Republican Gov. Matt Blunt in 2007. Jarrett says he will not ask Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon to reappoint him when his term expires Sept. 11.

Jarrett is an attorney who previously served as Blunt's general counsel. He also has served as a judge advocate officer in the Army Reserves and Missouri Army National Guard.
