BLUE SPRINGS - The Jefferson City American Legion Post 5 Juniors finished third over the weekend in the Fike Junior Legion Wood Bat Tournament.
Post 5 fell 6-5 to Jefferson County (Kan.) Assault in its final game Sunday, giving up two runs in the bottom of the final inning.
Jaden Barr hit a three-run home run in the top of the inning to give Post 5 a 5-4 lead.
Post 5 wraps up the regular season 12-4 and will play at the Zone Tournament starting July 18 in Washington.
