Your Opinion: Animal shelter probe needed

Dear Editor:

Olivia Ingle’s Sunday report, “Animal shelter, vet sever ties,” is a prime example of how difficult it is for a licensed-professional to work for an unlicensed, unelected bureaucrat.

It is obvious from the report that animal shelter director Karen Jennings could not fathom nor appreciate Amanda Dykstra’s professional and ethical requirements, or her valid concerns for all animals, feral or domestic.

From this report, I think I know who should be “perp walked” off the jobsite, and it’s not Dykstra.

As a citizen of Jefferson City, I am calling for a full and complete investigation of this matter, and that it be done by someone outside the Jefferson City Police Department.
