Dear Editor:
There are not many sports figures in American history who so captivated an entire city like Stan Musial but that is the case in St. Louis the last seven-plus decades.
No one displayed more class, grace, humility and dignity on or off a field of competition as the beloved outfielder. His statistics speak volumes and will remain part of baseball lore as long as there is baseball - but the love of an entire city speaks so much more.
