High winds blow 48 rail cars off track in SE Mo.

ROCKVIEW, Mo. (AP) - High winds are being blamed for damage to nearly 50 rail cars in southeast Missouri.

Strong storms hit the region Tuesday night. Mark Davis of Union Pacific Railroad says 48 cars derailed near the town of Rockview. They were among 112 cars carrying auto parts to Mexico from Chicago.

No one was hurt. About 800 feet of track will have to be replaced.
