In his State of the State Address, Gov. Nixon outlined issues facing the state and how they fall within the state’s nearly $25.876 billion budget.
“I thought the rhetoric was inspiring, but unfortunately only covered half of the issues affecting the state,” House Speaker Tim Jones said. “I believe he proposed the largest state budget effort and I’m concerned about that.”
Jones, R-Eureka, said he’s also concerned about Nixon’s lack of specificity.
