The Jefferson City Lady Jays might have survived one or the other. But the inside 1-2 punch by Webster Groves was too much to overcome.

Leah Brand and Mallory Moran combined for 30 points and 18 rebounds Friday night to lead the Webster Groves Statesmen to a 54-41 victory against the Lady Jays at Fleming Fieldhouse.

“We really wanted to try and front them and keep the ball away from them,” Jefferson City coach Shane Meyer said.
