Lincoln can't hold on, falls to Washburn

What a dream start.

A strong 7-for-9 from the field, a perfect 5-of-5 from 3-point range. Ten points for Cedric Ridle Jr. and a 19-6 lead for Lincoln just more than five minutes into the game.

Timeout, Washburn.

Jason Gym was rocking. Players were high-fiving and chest-bumping. The Blue Tigers had a nationally ranked team on the ropes.

Then Lincoln woke up.

Washburn went on a 13-0 run over the next five minutes to tie the game. While the Blue Tigers did go ahead on a pair of 3's from Ridle and Gregory Motley, the No. 24 Ichabods eventually showed why they're a force to be reckoned with in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, coming away with a 76-53 victory Thursday night.
