Lincoln track stars best in MIAA

The Lincoln Blue Tigers swept the honors when the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its Women’s Track and Field athletes of the week.

The Blue Tigers’ Yanique Ellington won the track honor, while Nickeisha Beaumont won the field award.

Racing against predominantly Division I competition at last week’s Illini Classic, Ellington recorded two top-six finishes.

Lincoln was the only non-Division I program to compete at the Classic over the weekend.
