Alewine, King touted by NCAA

Erin Alewine and Latoya King are under the spotlight.

Central Missouri's Alewine (Jefferson City High School) and Lincoln's King have been named two of four NCAA Division II track and field athletes to watch for the indoor season, according to a recent story on the NCAA website.

Alewine finished second in the nation in the indoor pentathlon as a sophomore a year ago, setting a school record with 4,134 points. She placed ninth or better in seven different events, including taking second in the high jump and long jump in the pentathlon.
