Missouri to host South Carolina

COLUMBIA — Not even switching conferences could get Missouri away from Frank Martin.

The former Kansas State coach, who has had Missouri’s number at times in his career, brings his South Carolina Gamecocks to Mizzou Arena to take on the Tigers at 6 p.m. today (ESPNU-TV).

“I like to call it smash-mouth basketball,” Missouri coach Frank Haith said of Martin’s teams. “That’s the way they play. They are going to test your manhood. They are going to come after us. That’s part of his teams, the way they play defensively.”
