SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Skylar Diggins scored 18 points, Natalie Achonwa had 16 points and 12 rebounds for her 10th double-double of the season and No. 2 Notre Dame beat 74-50 St. John's on Sunday.
The All-American penetrated at will. When she wasn't scoring on fast breaks, she was hitting pull-up jumpers or feeding forward Achonwa for easy layups.
St. John's (9-7, 3-1 Big East) was led by Nadirah McKenith with 15 points. The Fighting Irish took a 39-25 halftime lead on a drive through traffic by Diggins as the clock expired.
Notre Dame (16-1, 5-0) outrebounded St. John's 48-22 and outscored the Red Storm 38-24 in the paint.
No. 5 KENTUCKY 97, AUBURN 53
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A'dia Mathies scored a season-best 24 points to help Kentucky rout Auburn.
The Wildcats (18-1, 6-0 SEC), who have now won 17 games in a row and are tied with No. 4 Duke for the longest win streak in the country, put the game away in the first half, running out to an 11-point early. Auburn closed its deficit to eight with 11:04 until halftime. But over the next 7 1/2 minutes, Kentucky went on a 24-2 run, during which six different Wildcats scored.
Kentucky led 51-21 at the break. The Tigers (13-6, 2-4) scored consecutive field goals only once in the first half; it was those two field goals that snapped the Wildcats' 24-2 stretch that put them on top 46-15.
Auburn, which entered Sunday's game averaging 15.8 turnovers per game and a plus-6.4 turnover margin, had a season-high 30 turnovers (16 at halftime) against the Wildcats' full-court press.
No. 6 STANFORD 75, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 66
STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Chiney Ogwumike scored 23 of her 29 points in the second half and added 16 rebounds to help Stanford beat Southern California.
Joslyn Tinkle had 15 points while Sara James added 13 for the Cardinal (16-2, 5-1 in the Pac-12), who won their second straight since having a long conference streak end against California last Sunday. Amber Orrange added 11 points.
Cassie Harberts scored 21 points to lead the Trojans (7-10, 4-2 Pac-12), who lost their 11th straight to Stanford. Ariya Crook added 18 points.
Stanford opened a 19-point edge in the first four minutes of the second half and had to stave off a fierce Trojans rally.
Southern California's only senior and second leading rebounder, Christina Marinacci, missed her fourth straight game because of an injury sustained in the Trojans' victory over Oregon two weeks ago.
No. 7 CALIFORNIA 70, No. 14 UCLA 65
BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Layshia Clarendon scored 22 points to help California beat UCLA.
Talia Caldwell added 14 points and 11 rebounds while Gennifer Brandon also had a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Golden Bears (15-2, 5-1). It's Cal's third win over a Top 25 team in its last five games.
UCLA was within 54-50 late in the second half when Clarendon made a 3-pointer. She later stole an inbounds pass as part of a 10-2 run then made four free throws in the final 54 seconds left to seal the win.
Thea Lemberger scored 15 points for the Bruins (13-4, 4-2). UCLA has lost two straight after winning its previous six.
No. 9 TENNESSEE 94, ALABAMA 62
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Bashaara Graves had 19 points and eight rebounds to help Tennessee rout Alabama for its 39th consecutive victory over the Crimson Tide.
Alabama hasn't beaten the Lady Vols since an 85-66 victory in the 1984 Southeastern Conference tournament.
Meighan Simmons had 16 points as the Lady Vols (15-3, 6-0 SEC) earned their eighth straight win. Isabelle Harrison, Jasmine Jones and Taber Spani each added 14 points.
Daisha Simmons scored 19 points, Kaneisha Horn added 14 points and Shafontaye Myers had 12 points for Alabama (11-7, 1-4).
This was the last day of the SEC's "We Back Pat" week to support former Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt's foundation and its fight against Alzheimer's disease. Tennessee coach Holly Warlick and her assistants wore "We Back Pat" T-shirts under their blazers.
Before the game, Tennessee's coaches and players hugged Summitt, who sat in the front row at midcourt.
No. 10 MARYLAND 66, GEORGIA TECH 57
ATLANTA (AP) - Alyssa Thomas scored 28 points and helped No. 10 Maryland dominate the boards in an Atlantic Coast Conference victory over Georgia Tech.
Thomas also had 10 rebounds, one of three players in double figures for the Terrapins (15-3, 6-1), who piled up a 52-29 rebounding advantage over the Yellow Jackets.
Tianna Hawkins had 14 rebounds to go with 16 points, and Alicia DeVaughn grabbed 12 rebounds and scored 11 points for the Terrapins, who came in leading the nation in rebounding margin at plus-17 per game.
Four consecutive baskets by Thomas started a 15-0 run early in the second half that gave Maryland a 47-31 lead with 14:28 to play.
The Yellow Jackets (8-10, 1-6) whittled the lead to five points, 58-53, with 2:51 left, but they got no closer.
Tyaunna Marshall led Georgia Tech with 18 points.
IOWA 62, No. 12 PURDUE 46
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Jaime Printy and Melissa Dixon scored 15 points apiece and Iowa never trailed in defeating Purdue.
Theairra Taylor had nine points and 10 rebounds, and Samantha Logic had 10 assists as the Hawkeyes (14-5, 3-2 Big 10) handed Purdue its first conference loss of the season.
Bethany Doolittle had eight points, nine rebounds, three steals and three blocked shots for Iowa. Taylor was 3 for 3 from 3-point range, and Printy and Dixon also made three 3s.
The Hawkeyes led 41-18 at halftime. They were up 17-3 before Purdue managed its second basket with 8½ minutes left in the half. In the second half, the Boilermakers only got as close as nine points once before Iowa built a 17-point lead again.
Courtney Moses led the Boilermakers (15-3, 4-1) with 11 points. Purdue's only previous losses were to No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 Connecticut.
No. 20 TEXAS A&M 64, No. 13 GEORGIA 46
ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Courtney Walker scored 12 points to lead a strong perimeter game by Texas A&M in its win over Georgia.
Kelsey Bone, the Southeastern Conference's leading scorer and rebounder, saw her streak of five straight double-doubles for Texas A&M (14-5, 4-1) come to an end as she had 10 points and eight rebounds. She spent long stretches on the bench with foul trouble.
But the Aggies hit 51 percent (26 of 51) from the field and made 5 of 10 3-pointers.
Jasmine Hassell scored nine points to lead Georgia (16-3, 4-2), which shot 29.1 percent (16 of 55), including 1 of 6 3-pointers.
Texas A&M pulled away in the last 11:27 before halftime. The Lady Bulldogs trailed 11-10 after Jasmine Jones' short jumper, but the Aggies responded with a 13-0 run and outscored Georgia 28-6 over the remainder of the half.
No. 17 OKLAHOMA 71, No. 24 IOWA STATE 41
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Liz Donohoe had 18 points and eight rebounds and Oklahoma State rolled past Iowa State.
Iowa State scored the first five points and led for much of the early going, but the Cowgirls (14-2, 3-2 Big 12) went on a 10-0 run sparked by Morgan Toben's 3-pointer to take a 25-15 lead.
It was 31-21 at halftime and Oklahoma State scored the first 20 points of the second half, holding the Cyclones without a field goal for the first 8 minutes of the half.
Tiffany Bias had 12 points and 11 assists for the Cowgirls, who have won three straight. Kendra Suttles also scored 12 points, and Toni Young and Brittney Martin scored 10 apiece.
Hallie Christofferson led Iowa State (13-3, 4-2) with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Cyclones' only other losses were to Iowa and No. 1 Baylor.
No. 18 DAYTON 74, RHODE ISLAND 48
KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) - Sam MacKay scored 16 points, including four-3-pointers, and added five assists and five steals as Dayton cruised to a win over Rhode Island.
The Flyers (15-1, 3-0), who have won three straight games after losing 65-40 to Bowling Green on Dec. 30, posted their 10th straight win in the series.
With Dayton taking control early to lead 35-19 at intermission, the Rams (5-13, 0-3) opened the second half on an 8-2 run. Dayton answered with a 12-2 burst to pull away for good, sending Rhode Island to its seventh straight loss.
The Flyers forced 25 turnovers, leading to 33 points.
Ally Malott and Andrea Hoover added 11 points apiece for Dayton.
Tayra Melendez, with 13 points, was the only player in double figures for the Rams, who came in averaging the fewest points per game in the A-10 (51.5 points).
No. 19 SOUTH CAROLINA 52, FLORIDA 44
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Khadijah Sessions had 15 points and South Carolina held off Florida despite a 9-minute scoreless drought.
The Gamecocks (16-3, 4-2 Southeastern Conference), whose 59 rebounds were the most in coach Dawn Staley's five seasons, led 17-6 early and 24-17 at halftime.
Jaterra Bonds, who paced the Gators with 16 points, tied it at 35 on a layup with 12:14 left, but South Carolina rattled off 10 straight points, capped by Ashley Bruner's layup with 9:39 remaining, and Elem Ibiam had two key blocks.
The Gamecocks would not score again - missing 14 field goals and six free throws - until Bruner made 1 of 2 free throws with 32 seconds left for a 46-42 lead.
After Sydney Moss' jumper made it 47-44, South Carolina hit 5 of 6 free throws in the final 15 seconds.
Florida (13-6, 2-3) posted its lowest point total of the season.
No. 21 COLORADO 79, ARIZONA 36
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Arielle Roberson scored 12 points and Colorado cruised to a win over Arizona.
Lexy Kresl and Chucky Jeffery scored 11 points apiece and Jamee Swan had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Buffaloes (15-2, 4-2 Pac-12).
Six minutes into the game, Colorado led 15-11, but the Buffaloes outscored the Wildcats 28-4 the rest of the half. Nine players scored for Colorado in the first half on the way to a 43-15 lead.
Davellyn White was the only player in double figures for Arizona (11-6, 3-3), with 11 points. Colorado shot 50 percent from the field, while Arizona had 13 field goals for the game and made just 25 percent from outside.
No. 22 FLORIDA STATE 82, N.C. STATE 74
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Leonor Rodriguez scored 21 points and Alexa Deluzio had 19 as Florida State defeated North Carolina State in an Atlantic Coast Conference game.
The Seminoles (15-3, 5-2) used a 22-3 run to overcome a 67-56 N.C. State advantage with 7:36 remaining. A 3-pointer by Deluzio began the run, and two free throws by Chelsea Davis with 2:56 left put Florida State ahead 71-70, its first lead of the second half.
The victory by the Seminoles avenged a 74-71 loss to the Wolfpack (8-11, 0-7) in the first round of last season's ACC tournament, the last time the teams met.
Davis finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds for Florida State, and Natasha Howard added 12 points.
Kody Burke scored 16 points and Marissa Kastanek 14, and Krystal Barrett had 10 points and eight assists for North Carolina State, which has lost its last six games.
