Monday, January 21, 2013
OXFORD, Miss. — Sydney Crafton hit the game-winning free throw with :01.7 remaining Sunday to send the Missouri Tigers to a 73-72 overtime victory against Mississippi.
Crafton (Jefferson City High School) finished with 13 points, five rebounds and five assists in the victory, Missouri’s first-ever Southeastern Conference win on the road.
It was a competitive contest throughout. The game was tied at 32 at intermission and 62 at the end of regulation.
Missouri led 72-68 after a pair of Crafton free throws in the final minute. But a 3-pointer, and a later free throw, tied it before Crafton was fouled and sunk the game-winner.
