Greenhands awash in FFA lessons
Thursday, January 10, 2013
A spoof on the popular “Hunger Games” story, Missouri FFA state officers performed “Thirsty Games” for more than 400 greenhands at a motivational conference Tuesday at Lincoln University.
Katie Gibson, a former Nichols Career Center chapter officer, was among those state officers weaving FFA leadership, friendship and values into the tale of two heroes crossing the desert in tribute to the queen.
This area greenhand conference will be replicated across the state. It is among the first larger FFA events open to the first-year FFA members.
