It’s out with the old and in with the new at the Missouri Capitol this month. Not only are lawmakers coming and going, but a new cafeteria opened in the basement of the building Jan. 3.
The cafeteria, previously the Hawthorne Room, has taken on a new name, The Capitol Grill. It’s managed by the Peachtree Catering and Banquet Center, based out of Columbia, and is open weekdays from 7 a.m.-4 p.m.
The renovation cost an estimated $360,000-$480,000, according to the renovation project manual.

This ought to help the legislators pass better laws. Poor things shouldn't have to eat from a tattered cafeteria, or be forced to bring their lunch or even go out.
I'm glad we taxpayers made this half million dollar investment to help our legislators.

The public and employees eat here also. Its run by the Bureau of the Blind. GOOD for them, the other was a mess.

Nevermind, didn't read the last part about who runs it. Anyway, good for them.
