Lady Hornets claim Calvary crown

It may not have been a complete-game effort, but the St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets played so well on defense in spurts they were able to capture a tournament title.

Facing the Belle Lady Tigers in the championship game of the Calvary Lutheran Tournament, the Lady Hornets used two key stretches to propel them to a 51-42 victory.

The first came early, as the Lady Hornets used a full-court press to force turnovers on Belle’s first four possessions, jump-starting a 10-2 run to start the game.
