A Jefferson City man is charged with endangering the welfare of a 1-year-old girl by squeezing her tightly and scratching her face.
Jeffrey Bryan, 42, of 205 S. Lincoln St., is also charged with second-degree assault and first-degree property damage.
According to Jefferson City police, the incident occurred early Wednesday morning at an apartment building in the 2500 block of Southridge Drive.
As Bryan was scratching the child, he got into an altercation with a man and assaulted him by driving his motor vehicle into the door frame of the apartment while the male victim stood in the doorway.
Bryan's vehicle hit the male victim in the leg.
