Jays win opener

JOPLIN — The Jefferson City Jays opened the Kaminsky Classic on a winning note, rolling past Vashon by a 66-38 score Thursday night.

Scott Stegeman led the Jays to the victory by pumping in a game-high 26 points, with 18 of those coming in the second and third quarters.
