Trash pickups resume after snow storm

Officials with Allied Waste have clarified how the recycling and trash pickup service will be done in the next few days within the Jefferson City limits.

Due to the snow storm on Monday, recycling and trash inside the city limits was started, but workers were not able to complete their rounds.

Recycling pickups for Monday were finished Wednesday and Monday trash pickups will be finished today and tomorrow.

So Monday customers can either leave their carts out both Thursday and Friday, or wait until next Monday. Those who choose to wait until next Monday will be allowed to set extra trash out at no addition charge.

Trash and recycling collection for Tuesday through Friday will be delayed one day due to the New Year’s Day holiday.
