First 2013 baby arrives early — two weeks early

The first baby to be born in Jefferson City in 2013 was a girl.
Kaleiah Ashley Marie Jones was due Jan. 16, but came into the world at Capital Region Medical Center at 12:12 a.m. Tuesday.
Mom Nicole Roark and dad Lee Jones came to the hospital around 8 p.m. New Year’s Eve, and Kaleiah was born four hours later, weighing 5 pounds, 14 ounces.
Hospital officials said Kaleiah, Mom, Dad and 4-year-old big brother Sergio were all doing well.
