Sewer main work to continue through next week

The Public Works Department and SAK Construction will be continuing sewer main work today through March 8 in several Jefferson City neighborhoods.

The areas affected include: 300 block of West Ashley Street, Cedar Way at Madison Street, the 1700 block of Brookside Boulevard, the 200 block of Norris Drive and the 2400 block of James Drive.

Crews will be installing a new liner within the sewer line. No disruptions to traffic are expected. Individual property owners will be contacted if there will be interruptions in sanitary service. The interruptions will last no longer than four hours, officials said.

Glue or chemical like odors may be present during the work.
