Conservation to hold TRIM grant workshop

The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance (TRIM) grants to assist government agencies, public schools and non-profit groups with the management, improvement and conservation of trees and forests on public land.

To assist potential grant applicants, the department is holding TRIM grant workshops in various locations through the state.

A workshop is scheduled for Jefferson City from 9:30 a.m.-noon April 10 at Runge Nature Center.

TRIM grants are administered by Missouri Department of Conservation in cooperation with the Missouri Community Forest Council. The program provides reimbursements of $1,000 to $10,000 to grant recipients to fund up to 60 percent of money needed for projects.
