StartUp Jefferson City, a program led by local business people to encourage local entrepreneurs, has lined up three events for 2013.
The local organization will host Motivational Meet-up on March 23. This free event is open to the public and will feature presentations by local business owners, with networking opportunities. On April 23 and again in October, aspiring entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present their pitch for a business idea to a panel of judges. Participants will receive feedback and lucky winners will receive cash prizes. The April event will include $2,000 prizes and the October event will include $5,000 prizes.
