Missouri drops baseball decision to Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Missouri managed just two hits and dropped a 6-0 decision to Memphis on Friday night.

Memphis starter Sam Moll dominated Missouri in seven innings. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out five.

Memphis (2-3) picked up two runs in the first on a two-run home run by Tucker Tubbs. Memphis, which pounded out 14 hits, added a run in the third, two in the sixth and a single tally in the seventh as Missouri (0-4) didn't threaten offensively.

Rob Zastryzny took the loss. He allowed five runs and 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Game 2 of the three-game set is set for 2 p.m. today.
