BOSTON (AP) - Alyssa Thomas scored a season-high 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead No. 8 Maryland to an 86-61 victory over Boston College on Thursday night, the Terrapins' third consecutive victory.

Tianna Hawkins scored 15 points and Alicia DeVaughn had 10 points and eight rebounds for Maryland (22-4, 13-2 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Kristen Doherty scored 18 points for Boston College (10-16, 4-11).

With the win, Maryland remained in second place in the ACC, behind Duke and ahead of North Carolina - the only ACC teams to beat the Terps this season.


No. 10 TEXAS A&M 82, MISSISSIPPI 53

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Kelsey Bone had 24 points and a career-high 17 rebounds to lead Texas A&M.

Bone led the Aggies in scoring for the 18th time this season to help them get back on track after a 70-66 loss to No. 8 Kentucky on Monday night which snapped an eight-game winning streak.

Texas A&M (21-6, 11-2 Southeastern Conference) led by 12 points at halftime used a 12-2 run to extend the lead to 60-38 midway through the second half.

Valencia McFarland had 11 points to lead Mississippi (9-17, 2-11), which has lost six of seven.

It was the third meeting between these new SEC foes, and the first since an 82-79 win by the Rebels in Anchorage, Alaska on Dec. 20, 1997.
