To district tourney final

RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Indians kept their season alive for at least one more day.
Dakota Burgess hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Russellville to a 69-66 victory against top-seeded Cole Camp in the semifinals of the Class 2 District 8 Tournament.
Burgess’ 3-pointer capped what was a back-and-forth battle.
The Indians, the No. 4 seed, led 12-8 after the first quarter and 30-24 at halftime. Cole Camp cut the lead to 47-46 after three quarters, setting up Burgess’ heroics.
Brenden Jackson led Russellville with 34 points. Chandler Wolf finished with 13 while Levi Anderson added 11.
The Indians (19-6) will take on Tipton in the championship game at 6:30 p.m. today at Russellville High School.
Tipton defeated Linn 51-45 in the other semifinal game Friday night.
