OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (AP) — Authorities in central Missouri are citing a recent death to highlight the dangers of “huffing” vapors from aerosol products.
Osage Beach police say emergency responders found a 33-year-old man dead Monday morning at a motel. Over three days, the man and female companion had bought more than 50 cans of an aerosol product used to remove dust from a nearby store.
A news release said the cans were all empty. Police said the high from huffing lasts just 15 to 30 seconds and must be repeated several times a day to achieve the desired effect.
The release compared huffing to playing Russian roulette with your body. Police also urged businesses to keep a close watch on their aerosol products and to contact authorities if inhalant abuse is suspected.

Also, kids have been know to huff the freon from air conditioners. There are often valves at the indoor and outdoor units that they can access to huff the freon. Parents need to make sure their kids are not messing with this stuff.

Makes you wonder just how far down Darwin's chain an individual has to be to think this is a good idea. Here I thought I was a "wild and crazy" guy sneaking a couple of beers when I was a kid. The times they are a changin'.

One can of cooking spray can kill you, it does not take 50 of them to open the mucas valve and drown you! A kid in my 9th grade class found out the hard way. rob

Over legislation of "common sense" has resulted in a large number of individuals that cannot think for themselves. Survival of the fittest works in nature, maybe it is time for us to let nature take its’ course.
