CUBA, Mo. - Five Fatima players reached double figures Friday night as the Comets topped the Dixon Bulldogs 85-66 in the semifinals of the Class 3 District 9 Tournament.
Top-seeded Fatima (25-1, ranked No. 4) will square off against second-seeded St. James (24-3) in today's 8 p.m. final. St. James moved on with a 104-103 against third-seeded Cuba in regulation in Friday night's late semifinal.
Patrick Schnieders and Chad Stegeman had 22 points each to pace Fatima, which led 26-15 after one quarter and 44-26 at the half. Tom Zeilman and Nolan Bax had 12 points each, while Tanner Gentges finished with a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists.
