Presidents Day closings for Monday

The Missouri State Archives, which remain open on some holidays, also are closed.

The U.S. Postal Service will operate on a holiday collection schedule Monday, with no regular mail deliveries. Express Mail will be delivered as required.

Some businesses and financial institutions will be closed, while other businesses will be open.

The Missouri River Regional Library in Jefferson City and the Heartland Library branch in Eldon are closed.

However, the Daniel Boone Library System in Boone and Callaway counties remain open, on the regular schedule.

Jefferson City government offices also are open as usual — however, the City Council meeting normally held Monday nights will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Some area schools, including the Jefferson City Public Schools, are closed, but other schools — including Lincoln University — are open.

Mid-State Waste is collecting recycling, trash and garbage as usual on Monday.
