ASHLAND, Mo. - It was a good start to the postseason for Blair Oaks.
The Lady Falcons opened up Class 3 District 8 play with a 60-18 victory against winless Southern Boone on Monday.
"They scrapped, played hard, it's just a rough year for them," Blair Oaks coach Leroy Bernskoetter said of Southern Boone.
LeeAnn Polowy led Blair Oaks with 19 points as the Lady Falcons led 19-7 after one and 37-11 at halftime. It was 56-14 after three quarters.
"We had nine girls score, so that's good, Bernskoetter said. "And no one got hurt."
Amy Dorge added 12 points for the second-ranked Lady Falcons (23-2), who take on Centralia in Wednesday's semifinals.
