The Russellville FFA Chapter will celebrate National FFA Week, which begins today and ends Saturday.

FFA chapters across the United States celebrate every year on the week of George Washington's birthday.

This year, the Russellville FFA chapter will have several special events.

Today, chapter members will attend Olean Baptist Church in their official dress.

On Tuesday, the chapter greenhands (first-year FFA members) will have a competition to see who can wear the most green, and the other chapter members will be decked out in the national FFA colors - blue and gold.

On Wednesday, the chapter will hold a community appreciation breakfast in the Ag Shop. Serving will be from 6:30-8:30 a.m. All community members are invited to attend.

On Thursday, the chapter members will wear their official dress to school, and will bring pies to the school faculty for Teacher Appreciation Day.

Barnyard Day will be held Friday; chapter members will bring their animals and tractor to the middle school track to show the elementary and middle schoolers the importance of agriculture and the fun of FFA.
