Boys Basketball: Helias 62, Whitfield 52

ST. LOUIS — Brock Gerstner got all of his team-high 18 points on 3-pointers while leading Helias to a 62-52 victory against Whitfield on Friday night.

Helias opened up a 20-9 advantage after one quarter, took a 33-21 edge into halftime and led 40-35 after three quarters.

Isiah Sykes added 11 points for the Crusaders and Dylan Gish and Hale Hentges both contributed 10.

Helias (13-11) has won nine of its past 11 games and closes its regular season Friday against Rock Bridge for Senior Night.

Helias won the JV game 48-15 to win their school-record 19th JV game.

Trevor Koelling paced the Crusaders (19-3) with 10 points.
