Girls Basketball: Helias 62, Boonville 34

BOONVILLE, Mo. — The Helias Lady Crusaders dominated the even-numbered quarters and thumped Boonville 62-34 on Thursday.

The Lady Crusaders held a slim 11-10 lead after one quarter, but a 22-12 edge in the second quarter made it 33-22 at halftime.

After Helias outscored Boonville just 11-10 in the third period, the Lady Crusaders had a whopping 18-2 edge in the final quarter.

Taylor Hagenhoff dropped in 19 points for the Lady Crusaders (17-7), while Bre Zanders had 15.

In the JV game, Helias notched a 48-31 victory. Darcy Baird had 14 points for the Lady Crusaders (16-2).

Both Helias teams will host Owensville on Thursday.
