Girls Basketball: Fatima 64, Linn 44

LINN, Mo. — The Fatima Lady Comets clinched at least a share of the Show-Me Conference title with a 64-44 win over Linn on Thursday.

If Russellville defeats Chamois tonight, the Lady Comets will win the crown outright. If Chamois wins, the Lady Pirates and Lady Comets will share the title.

Fatima put three players in double figures in Thursday’s win. Morgan Brandt led the way with 19, Leah Kesel had 17 and Amy Bock had 15.

The Lady Comets put the game away with a 22-2 scoring edge in the fourth quarter. Linn led 13-11 after one quarter, it was tied at 22 at halftime and knotted at 42 after three quarters.

Fatima (19-8), the third seed in the Class 3 District 9 Tournament at Cuba, will play sixth-seeded School of the Osage at 8 p.m. Monday.
