Bird count on tap this weekend

The Great Backyard Bird Count will be observed Friday through Monday.

Winter bird species have visited the Jefferson City area in high numbers and varieties this season, particularly the common redpoll, the pine siskin, and American goldfinch.

Birds-I-View will host watching Friday and Saturday at its bird garden.
