Girls Basketball: California 60, Warsaw 21

CALIFORNIA, Mo. — The California Lady Pintos held the Warsaw Lady Wildcats to single digits in every quarter and rolled to a 60-21 win Thursday night.

California led 17-9 after the first quarter, then outscored Warsaw 14-7 in the second quarter to lead 31-16 at halftime. The Lady Pintos outscored the Lady Wildcats 17-4 in the third and 12-1 in the fourth to close it out.

Sydney Deeken had almost half of California’s points in the win, racking up 29. The Lady Pintos are now 18-4 overall and 5-0 in the Tri-County Conference.

Jessica Blankenship paced Warsaw (4-18, 1-5) with six points.

California, which won the JV game 26-12, will play Saturday at Dixon.
