Mission to host Terry Quiett Band

The Terry Quiett Band has become a mainstay across America’s Heartland and will be performing at 9 p.m. Saturday in Jefferson City at The Mission, 915 E. High St.

The group teamed with producer Jim Gaines, a veteran of the blues industry famous for his work with Stevie Ray Vaughn, Carlos Santana, Steve Miller Band, George Thorogood, Luther Allison, Albert Collins and more.

Quiett teamed with Gaines in 2011 for the release “Just My Luck” on Lucky Bag Records. At the end of 2011, the album was listed as one on the top 100 played CDs on the Roots Music Report Blues Chart.

They joined forces again in the spring of 2012 to record a live CD, which was released in July 2012 titled “A Night at the Orpheum.”

During this time, the Terry Quiett Band has shared the stage with legends including Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, B.B. King, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Winter, Walter Trout, Robin Trower, Tab Benoit, Robert Randolph and the family band, Bernard Allison, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, .38 Special and Los Lonely Boys.

The Terry Quiett Band has a commanding presence on stage using original material from haunting Delta blues and sophisticated jazzy swing to rock featuring his flawless guitar technique and soulful vocals.
