EUGENE — A big fourth quarter bailed Fatima out.
The Comets outscored Eugene by 18 points in the final period en route to a 78-62 victory Tuesday night.
Tied at 15 after one quarter, Eugene took a 39-29 lead into halftime and a 51-49 edge into the final quarter. That’s when Fatima turned it on.
Patrick Schnieders starred for Fatima with 33 points, climbing into second place all-time on the school’s career scoring list with 1,491 points. Tanner Gentges added 20 points and Chad Stegeman recorded 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
Cody Shaw led Eugene with 17 points, while Travis and Tyler Kempker both added 10.
Eugene falls to 16-7 on the season.
Fatima (20-1) hosts South Callaway on Thursday.
