MoDOT forum on Tuesday
Monday, February 4, 2013
A Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) forum to gather the views of Callaway County and other Mid-Missouri residents will be Tuesday evening in Columbia.
The Central Missouri “On the Move” update is one of 16 MoDOT public forums scheduled around the state.
This session is the only opportunity for interested Callaway County and other Mid-Missouri residents to attend a MoDOT On the Move forum in Central Missouri.
University of Missouri President Timothy Wolfe will host the first listening session from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Reynolds Alumni Center, 123 Reynolds Alumni Center, Conley and Maryland avenues in Columbia.

That's nice let's have a discussion or forum aimed at getting Callaway county residents input in a Boone County location.

From what I understand, it is a forum for all mid-missouri residents. It will be interesting to see what topics are discussed.

Well if it is for all Mid Missouri residents (and I am not disputing that you may be right) why do they single out Callaway county residents in the article for announcement?
Why not Cole, or Montgomery. It seems very odd.

From what I can see on the MoDOT website; it looks like seating will be limited and reservations are being requested. Perhaps, because of the unique roadway things (like the Callaway plant and I-70), input is being specifically requested from residents of Callaway County. This is just my speculation. Check out the MoDOT site for more information.

I did actually. didn't tell me very much and then I got bored with the whole thing. Still if they are specifically targeting Callaway for input it would seem reasonable to use one of the campuses in Fulton. I am sure they would be willing.

It's because it's actually an article from the Fulton Sun, a sister publication of the NT. Don Norfleet is a reporter for the Fulton Sun.

That places the entire thing in a better perspective then having been written for a specific distribution rather than for a specific target.
