An Osage County man has been charged following a standoff with authorities.

According to Osage County Sheriff's Department reports, at approximately 6:13 p.m. Sunday night, deputies responded to the area of County Road 207 for a "shots fired" call.

Kathy Duncan dialed 911 after her husband, Louis "Buzzy" Duncan, opened fire with a rifle inside of their residence.

Deputies and Missouri Highway Patrol troopers met the victims and other family members at the intersection of Highway J and Highway N.

After deputies conducted interviews with the victims, they requested additional assistance from both the Maries and Gasconade County Sheriff's Offices.

Authorities eventually made contact with Louis via cell phone and after negotiations deputies were able to take him into custody near his residence.
