STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Amber Orrange scored on a left-handed layin and turned it into a three-point play with 25.8 seconds left, helping seal No. 6 Stanford's 76-70 victory against third-ranked Tennessee on Saturday that handed the Lady Vols their first loss.
Chiney Ogwumike had 32 points, a season-best 20 rebounds and three blocks as Stanford held off a late Tennessee rally.
Andraya Carter's baseline 3-pointer with 1:02 remaining cut the Cardinal's lead to 70-68 but Stanford kept possession with 36 seconds to go on a jump ball in a big break, and Orrange came through.
Stanford (10-1) has its first three-game winning streak in the rivalry between perennial national powers.
Ariel Massengale scored 17 points and Meighan Simmons 15 to lead the Lady Vols (10-1), who were hurt 35.8 percent shooting.
No. 7 LOUISVILLE 69, No. 11 COLORADO 62
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Shoni Schimmel had a season-high 30 points and Bria Smith added 13 as Louisville gave Colorado its first loss of the season.
Lexy Kresl led Colorado with 17 points. The loss ended Colorado's streak of 33 straight victories in nonconference regular-season games.
Jen Reese, wearing a protective mask after breaking her nose in practice this month, added 14 points and 14 rebounds for Colorado (9-1).
A layup from Colorado's Brittany Wilson closed the gap to 65-62 with 24 seconds left. Schimmel, who was 13 of 16 from the free-throw line, made two foul shots and a layup to close out Louisville's fifth straight win and improve to 12-1.
No. 13 OKLAHOMA STATE 68, GEORGIA TECH 60
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - Liz Donohoe scored 27 points to lead Oklahoma State past Georgia Tech.
The Cowgirls (10-0) got 15 points from Tiffany Bias, while Kendra Suttles chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds.
Georgia Tech (8-3) was led by Tyaunna Marshall's 14 points and 10 rebounds. Kaela Davis and Sydney Wallace both had 13 points in the loss.
Oklahoma State shot over 45 percent from the floor, including 5 of 16 from beyond the arc, while limiting the Yellow Jackets to just 31 percent shooting and 16.7 percent (4 of 24) on 3-pointers.
No. 14 NORTH CAROLINA 103, HIGH POINT 71
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Six North Carolina players scored in double figures as the Tar Heels used a balanced attack in downing High Point.
Xylina McDaniel led the Tar Heels (11-2) with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Allisha Gray and Danielle Butts each had 14. Latrice Phelps led High Point (5-6) with 20 points.
RUTGERS 61, No. 16 GEORGIA 58
PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) - Kahleah Copper and Betnijah Laney each scored 18 points to help Rutgers upset Georgia.
Rutgers (9-2) led by four at the half and the Scarlet Knights couldn't build on that. Georgia took its first lead of the game, 46-45, on a three-point play by Tiaria Griffin with 7:25 left.
The Scarlet Knights answered with six straight points to make it 51-46 with 5 minutes left.
Rutgers led 59-52 with 21 seconds left before Shacobia Barbee hit a 3-pointer to make it a four-point game. After a missed free throw by Syessence Davis, Barbee swished another 3 from the top of the key to make it 59-58 with 7 seconds left.
Tyler Scaife hit two free throws with 5.9 left and Khaalidah Miller's 3-pointer from 35-feet at the buzzer bounced off the front rim.
Barbee finished with 18 points - 17 of them in the second half - to lead Georgia (11-1).
No. 19 NEBRASKA 87, SOUTH DAKOTA 53
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Jordan Hooper scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Nebraska rolled over South Dakota.
Tear'a Laudermill had 15 points with five rebounds. Emily Cady had 10 with seven rebounds and Rachel Theriot added nine with five assists for the Cornhuskers (9-2).
Nebraska opened with an 11-0 run in the game's first four minutes and had a 20-point lead by halftime. The Coyotes (7-6) hit just 30 percent from the field in the first half.
Hooper sank a 3-pointer at 15:25 in the second to cap a 14-6 Nebraska run. Allie Havers' layup at 8:16 gave the Cornhuskers a 30-point advantage and put the game away for good.
Nebraska was 46 percent from the field overall and 79 percent from the line.
Raeshel Contreras scored 17 points to lead the Coyotes. The loss broke a five-game winning streak for South Dakota.
MARIST 76, No. 20 OKLAHOMA 69
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) - Sydney Coffey and Casey Dulin each scored four points in the final 33 seconds as Marist stopped Oklahoma.
Emma O'Connor made a 3-pointer and followed it with a layup to give Marist (7-4) a 53-51 lead with under 10 minutes left.
Coffey finished with 25 points. Sharane Campbell led Oklahoma (8-4) with 17.
No. 22 IOWA 73, DRAKE 51
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Ally Disterhoft scored 17 points and gathered nine rebounds to pace Iowa over Drake.
Iowa (11-2) shot 46 percent from the floor, but was just 4 of 26 from beyond the arc. Melissa Dixon added 13 points for the Hawkeyes while Samantha Logic went 6 of 7 for 12 points, pulled down 17 rebounds and handed out 10 assists.
Drake (5-5) was led by Ashley Bartow with 16 points; Lizzy Wendell scored nine points for the Bulldogs and had 11 rebounds in the loss.
Iowa was only up four at intermission and maintained that margin almost five minutes into the second half. But the Hawkeyes went on a 15-0 run - including a trey by Theairra Taylor - to take control of the game.
Drake shot just 20 percent from the floor and went 6 of 29 (20.7 percent) on 3-pointers.
No. 23 SYRACUSE 64, SAINT JOSEPH'S 62
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Brittney Sykes scored six of her 20 points in the final 2:37, including the game-winning layup with 3 seconds to play, as Syracuse slipped past Saint Joseph's.
Rachel Coffey's 3-pointer with 3:32 to play gave Syracuse (10-1) its first lead, 58-57, since the opening minute of the second half.
Coffey then blocked Ilze Gotfrida's jumper and a layup by Sykes extended the Orange lead to three, before Erin Shields tied the game on a 3-pointer with 2:20 remaining.
Sykes broke the tie with a pair of free throws with 44 seconds to play but 23 seconds later Natasha Cloud knotted the game at 62, setting up Sykes' heroics.
Shields led the Hawks with 21 points, knocking down 7 of 12 3-pointers, seven rebounds and seven steals. Cloud dished out 12 assists.
Briana Day added 10 points and 11 rebounds for Syracuse.
No. 24 FLORIDA STATE 72, LONG BEACH STATE 57
LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Natasha Howard scored 16 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead Florida State over Long Beach State.
The Seminoles (11-1) got 14 points apiece from Yashira Delgado and Morgan Jones.
Alex Sanchez led Long Beach (7-5) with 21 points.
No. 25 GONZAGA 69, WASHINGTON STATE 62
PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Haiden Palmer broke out of a slump with 20 points to carry Gonzaga to a win at Washington State.
Gonzaga (10-2) closed the first half on a 15-4 run with Palmer scoring 11 to take a 36-28 lead.
Tia Pressley had 13 of her 19 in the first half for Washington State (6-6). Lia Galdeira added 15 for the Cougars, who had 24 turnovers
Palmer, who entered the game averaging 14.4 points after three-straight games of not reaching double figures, had 15 at halftime while the Bulldogs were grabbing 10 offensive rebounds and hounding WSU into 13 turnovers.
Lindsay Sherbert added 10 points for Gonzaga and Keani Albanez had 12, all in the second half. Danielle Walters had six assists after starting point guard Jazmine Redmon left early in the second half with an apparent concussion. Palmer also had six steals and three assists.
