Parks and Recreation to accept unflocked trees

Jefferson City Parks and Recreation is offering the public a chance to dispose of all unflocked Christmas trees. Trees can be taken to Vivion Field parking lot by Jan. 31.

The department will use the trees for wildlife habitat, erosion control, mulch and crappie beds in the city park's system.

Trees can be dropped off in the designated area near the bridge entrance to the field.

This is a free service.
