COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Tiffany Mitchell scored 20 points and No. 10 South Carolina held off Winthrop 69-61 on Friday to improve to 10-1.

Asia Dozier added 14 points to help the Gamecocks rebound from a loss Wednesday night against No. 14 North Carolina. Dequesha McClanahan and Erica Williams had 19 points each for the Eagles (6-3).

NC STATE 89, NO. 12 LSU 79

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Markeisha Gatling and Kody Burke each scored 25 points to lead North Carolina State past LSU.

Gatling was 11 of 13 from the field and had eight rebounds for the Wolfpack (11-1). Theresa Plaisance led LSU (9-2) with 18 points.

NO. 24 FLORIDA ST. 73, PACIFIC 66

LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Natasha Howard had 20 points and eight rebounds in Florida State's victory over Pacific in the Long Beach Classic.

Florida State (10-1) will play Long Beach State on Saturday night in the championship game.

Kendall Kenyon led Pacific (4-5) with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
