Girls Basketball: Blair Oaks 49, St. Elizabeth 45

ST. ELIZABETH — The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons outscored St. Elizabeth 20-13 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 49-45 victory on Thursday night.

The Lady Hornets held an 11-9 lead after one quarter, but the Lady Hornets tied it at 17 at intermission. St. Elizabeth then went up 32-29 afer three quarters.

Lauren Viessman led a balanced Blair Oaks effort with 16 points, while LeeAnn Polowy had 12 and Chelsi Emerson added 11.

Savannah Stiles racked up 20 points and 12 rebounds for St. Elizabeth. Allie Heckemeyer added 11 points, five rebounds and seven assists, while Mackenzie Struemph had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Blair Oaks (6-1) will return to action Dec. 27 against Palmyra in the MRMC Shootout in Moberly. St. Elizabeth (3-3) plays against Jan. 6 at Vienna.

In Thursday’s two-quarter JV game, Blair Oaks posted a 29-20 win.
