Two accidents leave four injured

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:10 p.m. Saturday on Pier 31 Road in Camden County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 GMC Yukon, driven northbound by Rollo A. Floriez, 21, Camdenton, lost control on the icy road, spun and came to rest in the roadway. A 1987 Nissan Pathfinder, driven northbound by Shawn C. Frazier, 18, Camdenton, then struck the Floriez vehicle.

A passenger in the Floriez vehicle, Amy S. Floriez, 25, Camdenton, and Frazier and a passenger in his vehicle, Megan N. Gericke, 16, Osage Beach were all taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

The Floriezes were not wearing seat belts. Frazier and Gericke were wearing seat belts.

• A California teen was injured in a one-car accident at 10:55 a.m. Sunday on Missouri 87 at Cary Road in Moniteau County.

The patrol reported a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, driven northbound by Langston M. Alexander, 18, lost control on the ice-covered road, traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected and traveled off the left side of the road. His car struck a fence and turned over.

Alexander was taken to St. Mary's Health Center.

He was wearing a seat belt.
